British Council English Online sells live, small-group English classes taught by qualified teachers, with a placement test, a structured curriculum and progress tracking. The organisation also co-owns the IELTS exam, which is a large part of why its teaching carries weight for people studying towards it.
It is expensive relative to a marketplace tutor and the reason is what you are buying: qualified teachers, a designed curriculum and a recognised name on a certificate.
