How discounting works at IGP
IGP delivers gifts — flowers, cakes, personalised items, hampers — mostly into India, and is used heavily by people abroad sending to family at home. Same-day and midnight delivery are the core proposition.
Discounting is straightforward: recurring percentage codes, festival campaigns, and free or upgraded delivery over a threshold. But the thing that actually determines whether the purchase worked is the delivery slot and the substitution policy, and no code compensates for a cake arriving the day after a birthday.
Ways to pay less that are not codes
Order ahead of the festival, not during it
Slots sell out and surcharges rise as a festival approaches. The same gift is cheaper and more reliable a week early.
Read the substitution clause
Flowers and cakes are substituted for equivalents when stock is short. Knowing that in advance is better than discovering it from a photo.
Personalised items cannot be returned
Check the spelling on the preview screen. That is the whole remedy.
IGP: questions people actually ask
- Can I send a gift to India from abroad?
- Yes — that is IGP’s main use case. You pay in your currency and the gift is fulfilled locally in India.
- What happens if the item is out of stock?
- It is substituted with something of equivalent value under the published substitution policy. If exactness matters, choose a category where substitution is unlikely.
- Do codes apply to the delivery charge?
- Usually not. Percentage codes apply to the gift value; the same-day and midnight surcharges sit outside them.
