How discounting works at Uber Eats
Uber Eats delivers restaurant and grocery orders through the Uber app. Restaurant prices on delivery platforms are frequently higher than in the restaurant itself, before any fee is added.
The total is built from the subtotal plus a delivery fee, a service fee, sometimes a small-order fee, and a tip. A promo code applies to the subtotal and not to the fees, which is why a "£10 off" code on a small order saves much less than it appears. The subscription that removes delivery fees is the lever that changes the arithmetic for regular users.
